For those of you who don't know, Fletcher and Morgan met in a tiny bar in Seward Alaska. Morgan was working at the Native hospital in Anchorage and Fletcher was working in the Shipyard in Seward. Seward is a small coastal town that does a lot of whale watching tours and fishing charters. Aside from that, there isn't much to do there besides hang out at the bar. Morgan and her girlfriends went down for a weekend whale watching tour and ended up running into Fletcher and his friends at The Alehouse. Both will tell the story a little bit differently, but eventually Fletcher asked Morgan and her friends to play pool and by the end of the night he asked for her number too.
Over the next couple weeks Morgan and Fletcher began talking, hanging out, and eventually started dating. Some of their favorite memories of Alaska include hiking Lost Lake, snagging sockeye salmon, and camping at Lake Louise in 25 degree weather.
Everyone will say that Morgan is the reason why Fletcher left Alaska, however after spending three years working outside all year round he was ready to go. The timing of when he met Morgan could not have been more perfect. They say that "you find things when you least expect it" and this was definitely the case for Fletcher and Morgan.
They ended up flying home to the Midwest after Morgan's travel assignment was done in Anchorage, and now they're living in the Milwaukee area. Over the last few years Fletcher and Morgan's relationship has grown immensely and they have gotten to experience so many different things together.
Fletcher proposed in October of 2023 at a pumpkin patch and Morgan was completely caught off guard. He had friends waiting for them back at their house for a small celebration and could not wait to tell the rest of the family. Later, Morgan found out that Fletcher was carrying the ring around loose in his pocket for months just waiting for the right time to pop the question. Needless to say, Morgan does not let the ring leave her sight now.
They will have been together a little over four years by the time the wedding rolls around, and could not be more excited!
